FOMO = FEAR OF MISSING OUT

We are at All Time Highs for BTC. Did you miss the boat? NO! Things are just getting started!

The Jargon

  • ATH (All-Time High): The highest price a cryptocurrency has ever reached.

  • FOMO: The feeling you get when you think you’re missing out on potential gains.

  • HODL: A playful misspelling of “hold,” meaning to keep your crypto rather than selling during market swings.

  • Volatility: Crypto prices can change dramatically in short periods—sometimes up, sometimes down.

Am I Too Late to Crypto?

Absolutely not. Here’s why:

  • Crypto is still evolving: New technologies, coins, and applications are being developed all the time.

  • Adoption is growing: Major companies, financial institutions, and even governments are exploring crypto.

  • Opportunities abound: From investing to learning about blockchain careers, there’s more to crypto than just trading coins.

I will actually take you on the journey I took personally and all the ups and downs and the feels we all deal with. The key to being a good trader is learning, staying steady and managing your emotions all along the way

But first let’s talk about one of the important feelings to tame in anything = Fear Of Missing Out or FOMO

Just like when you were a teenager and really needed to study for an exam but everyone was going to the movies. You knew you should study but you wanted to catch up on the gossip with friends, share some memories and not miss out on a fun time. Discipline as a young person is difficult. Well having discipline as an adult and with your finances is even more difficult because you get to make your own choices

I’m writing this as both a gentle reminder and a personal reflection—because if you’ve ever stared at a screen watching a coin hit a new ATH (All-Time High) and felt your heart race, you’re not alone. That surge of anxiety and excitement—that’s FOMO, and it’s one of the most powerful forces in the crypto world.

In regards to trading and investing I’ve felt FOMO too. The panic that you’re missing “the next big thing.” The temptation to chase green candles. The thought that if I don’t get in now, I’ll regret it forever. But here’s the hard truth I’ve come to understand: decisions made in fear rarely build wealth. They build stress, and often, losses.

The crypto market is known for its volatility. Prices can spike or crash in minutes, driven by news, sentiment, or sheer speculation. That unpredictability can feel like opportunity—or danger—depending on your mindset. And when we let our emotions take the wheel, we start reacting instead of planning.

That’s why I’ve learned to respect the power of the HODL. Not just as a meme, but as a mindset. It’s the art of staying grounded when everything feels chaotic. It’s the discipline to trust your research, your risk tolerance, and your long-term thesis—even when the market tests your conviction. HODLing isn’t always about doing nothing. It’s about doing the hard thing: not panicking.

FOMO whispers that this time is different. But market cycles repeat. Today's ATH can become tomorrow's entry point, and today's hype can fade just as quickly as it appeared. What matters more than timing the exact top or bottom is having a strategy—and sticking to it.

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a breath. Step back. Zoom out. You don’t have to catch every rally or buy every dip. You just have to stay in the game, clear-headed and committed to your goals.

We are not here to chase. We are here to build.
